Do not go outdoors without proper clothings
Do not buy antiques, thankas and statues in Ladakh. The purchase export of objects more than a hundred year old out of Ladakh
is prohibited. Unfortunately purchaising isn't always strictly controled, but remember that heritage belong to the people, and both
ladakhi people and next tourists want to enjoy that heritage.
Do not drink or smoke within the permises of monasteries.
Do not use flash inside the monasteries to avoid to damage the colors of frescoes.
Do not touch statues, the precious stones studded in statues and the gold and silver plated surfaces on the monasteries.
Take your shoes off before entering and chambering of a monastery.
Do not disturb the monks during prayer in the assembly hall of the monastry.
Do not seat on the table and monk's seat in the assembly hall of the monastry.
Do not take away anything out of a monastry or a holy place.
